Who We Are
FindAPPWise started because we got tired of trying to figure out which apps were actually worth downloading.
You know the feeling—you need an app for something, you search the app store, and you’re hit with a thousand options. Some have lots of 5-star reviews (that might be fake). Others have vague descriptions that don’t tell you anything. And the one-star reviews? Sometimes they’re from people mad the app costs money, not because it’s actually broken.
So we decided to dig through the noise. We read thousands of real user reviews, we test apps ourselves, and we write honest summaries of what they’re actually good for and what they suck at.
What We Do
We pull together user reviews from the App Store, Google Play, and other official app stores, then we analyze them to give you the real picture. What are people actually complaining about? What do they love? What’s the app actually designed for versus what it’s actually good at?
Then we write it up in a way that actually makes sense. We show you both the good and the bad—because nothing’s perfect, and pretending otherwise isn’t helpful.
Why We Exist
App stores are filled with marketing bullshit. Developers want you to download their app, so they’re not going to highlight the bugs or the limitations. Some reviews are helpful, but a lot of them are either from people who’ve never used the app or people having a really bad day.
We’re the middleman. We’re not being paid by app developers (at least not the developers we review). We’re not writing reviews to hit some quota or follow a formula. We’re just trying to answer the question: “Is this app actually good, and is it right for me?”
How We Pick Apps
We review apps that people are actually using and asking about. We focus on the categories people care most about—productivity, social media, games, fitness, finance, navigation, that sort of thing. If an app has thousands of downloads but nobody’s heard of it, it’s probably on our radar.
We don’t review every app in existence. That would be insane and also kind of pointless. We focus on the ones that matter.
What You’re Getting
When you read a review on FindAPPWise, you’re getting:
- A real summary — What is this app actually for? What does it do?
- What people like — The honest stuff that users say works well
- What people hate — The bugs, the weird design choices, the frustrations
- Who it’s for — Is this an app for professionals? Casual users? Power users? Should your grandma use it?
- The verdict — Is it worth your time and storage space?
We don’t write reviews to look smart or to be clever. We write them so you don’t waste time on an app that’s not right for you.
Who’s Behind This?
We’re a small team of people who download too many apps and think way too much about their pros and cons. We’re not a venture-backed startup. We’re not owned by a big tech company (yet). We’re just people who want to make it easier for other people to pick good apps.
We’ve spent years using apps, reading reviews, getting frustrated with bad ones, and discovering hidden gems. That’s our expertise—not marketing, not tech hype, just actual experience.

- We’re not affiliated with app developers (unless we say so)
- We’re not here to make you buy premium versions of apps
- We’re not trying to sell you on the “best” app—we’re trying to help you find the right app for you
Our Approach
We believe in:
Honesty — If an app is buggy, we’ll say so. If it’s great but only for a specific use case, we’ll say that too.
Clarity — No marketing speak, no fluff. Just tell people what they need to know.
Depth — We dig into actual user experiences, not just surface-level features.
Fairness — We review apps based on what they are, not what we wish they were or what we think they should be.
Updates — Apps change. We revisit reviews when major updates come out or when user feedback shifts significantly.
Why Trust Us?
Look, we’re not some massive media company with a hundred journalists and a fancy office. We’re a bunch of people who genuinely care about this. If we review something dishonestly or we get called out for something wrong, we’ll own it and fix it.
We’re not perfect. Sometimes we miss things or we’re too harsh on an app we don’t personally vibe with. But we genuinely try to be fair, and we read the feedback we get from readers.
Also, if you look at our reviews, you’ll notice we’re not always positive. We call out problems. That’s not something a biased reviewer would do. If we were getting paid to promote apps, everything would get 4 or 5 stars.
What’s Next?
We started with iOS and Android apps. Eventually, we might expand to other platforms—but only if we can maintain the same standard we have now. We’re not going to turn this into a clickbait machine or a place for sponsored content. That would defeat the whole point.
