Important Stuff You Should Know

We need to be straight with you about what FindAPPWise is and what it isn’t.

We’re Not Official

We’re not affiliated with Apple, Google, Microsoft, or any of the app developers we review. We’re independent reviewers pulling data from public app stores. If you have a problem with an app, don’t come to us—go to the app’s actual support team or leave a review on the official app store.

Our Reviews Aren’t Guarantees

The reviews on this site are based on:

  • Real user reviews from official app stores
  • Our own testing and experience
  • General feedback we see across the internet

But here’s the thing—apps change. A lot. Developers push updates, features get added or removed, bugs get fixed or introduced. A review we wrote three months ago might not be accurate today. We update reviews when we know about major changes, but we’re not monitoring every app 24/7. If you’re reading an old review, the app might work completely differently now.

Also, your experience with an app might be different from what we describe. Just because the app crashes for 10,000 people doesn’t mean it’ll crash for you. And just because we love it doesn’t mean you will.

You’re Responsible for Your Downloads

When you download an app based on our review, that’s your choice. We’re not responsible if:

  • The app doesn’t work the way you expected
  • The app crashes or is buggy
  • The app uses your data in ways you don’t like
  • The app has a terrible UI that makes you want to throw your phone
  • You pay for something and then regret it

Read the app’s own privacy policy and permissions before you download. If an app is asking for access to your photos, contacts, or location, and it’s a calculator app, that’s weird. Don’t blame us for that—blame the developer.

Security and Privacy

We can’t guarantee that apps are safe or that they won’t steal your data. We’re reviewers, not security experts. If you’re concerned about an app’s privacy practices, check:

  • The app’s official privacy policy
  • The permissions it’s requesting
  • Reviews from actual users mentioning privacy issues
  • Security reports from legitimate tech sites

If an app seems sketchy, don’t download it. Simple as that.

We’re Not Liable for Damages

If you download an app based on our review and something bad happens—you lose money, your device gets infected with malware, your data gets leaked—we’re not responsible. We’re doing our best to be accurate, but we’re not liable for:

  • Direct damages
  • Indirect damages
  • Lost profit or data
  • Any other bad thing that happens

This is standard legal stuff, but basically: read reviews, use common sense, and take responsibility for what you download.

Third-Party Links

We link to the App Store, Google Play, and app developers’ websites. We’re not responsible for what happens on those sites. If you click a link and end up somewhere you don’t like, that’s not on us.

Ads Aren’t Endorsements

We run ads from Google and Microsoft. Those ads are there to pay for the site. An app showing up in an ad doesn’t mean we think it’s good. An app not showing up in an ad doesn’t mean we think it’s bad. Ads are just ads.

If an app company wants to advertise here, we don’t change our review because of it. Seriously. We’ve had companies we review negatively also advertise on our site, and we keep the negative review up.

No Professional Advice

We’re app reviewers, not consultants. We’re not giving you professional advice about which app to use for your business, your health, your finances, or anything else.

If you need to make an important decision based on an app—like managing your health, your money, or your business—do your own research. Talk to actual professionals. Don’t just take our word for it.

For example, if we review a meditation app, that doesn’t mean it’s a replacement for therapy. If we review a budgeting app, that doesn’t mean it’s financial advice. Use your brain.

Updates and Changes

Apps get updated. Reviews get outdated. We update reviews when we know something’s changed, but we can’t track every update for every app. If you’re relying on a review we wrote, check when it was last updated. If it’s been six months and the app gets monthly updates, maybe things have changed.

No Warranties

We provide our reviews “as-is” without any warranty that they’re accurate, complete, or up-to-date. We’re not promising anything. We’re just sharing what we know.

This Disclaimer Can Change

We might update this disclaimer whenever we feel like it. If we do, we’ll post the new version here. We’re not going to email you or announce it on the news—we’ll just update it.

Different Rules in Different Places

Depending on where you live, different laws apply to stuff like this. This disclaimer is our best attempt to cover the bases, but if you’re in the EU or somewhere with strong consumer protection laws, those laws might override what we’re saying here anyway.

Use Common Sense

At the end of the day, this is the internet. Don’t download apps from sketchy sources. Don’t give apps permissions they shouldn’t need. Don’t assume any review—ours or anyone else’s—is the final word on something. And if something seems wrong about an app, trust your gut and don’t use it.

Questions?

If you have questions about this disclaimer or think we’ve made a mistake in a review, email us at hello@findappwise.com

We’ll read it and think about it. We might not change anything, but we’ll actually consider what you’re saying.

That’s it. Download responsibly.
