Privacy Policy for FindAPPWise
Last Updated: May 28, 2026
Hey there. We know privacy matters, so we’re laying out exactly what we do with your information on FindAPPWise. We try to keep this straightforward—no legal jargon where we can avoid it.
What Information We Collect
When you visit our site, we collect some basic stuff:
- Your IP address and location data — This happens automatically when you browse. We use it to understand where our visitors are coming from and to prevent spam.
- Device info — What browser you’re using, what device you’re on, that kind of thing. Helps us make sure the site works for everyone.
- Cookies — We use cookies for tracking your visits and remembering things like your preferences. Some of these come from us, and some come from Google and Microsoft (see below).
- How you use the site — What pages you click on, how long you stay, what you search for. We track this to see what content people actually find useful.
We don’t ask for your name, email, or anything like that unless you voluntarily contact us. But if you do drop us a message or ask us a question, we’ll keep that information to respond to you.
Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show ads on our site. Here’s what that means for you:
Google uses cookies and tracking technology to figure out your interests and show you ads that might be relevant to you. If you click on an ad, Google gets that data. You’re basically seeing personalized ads based on your browsing history across the web.
If you’re not into that, you can:
- Go to Google Ad Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) and turn off personalized ads
- Visit https://aboutads.info to opt out of ad tracking from multiple companies
This is all Google’s policy, not ours—we’re just the middleman here.
Microsoft Bing Ads & Traffic
We buy traffic from Bing to bring visitors to the site. When you click on one of our Bing ads and land here, Microsoft tracks that. They use what’s called Universal Event Tracking (UET) to measure how many people clicked the ad and what they do after they arrive.
Microsoft might retarget you with ads across their network based on that visit. If you want to opt out of Microsoft’s interest-based advertising, you can adjust your settings at https://account.microsoft.com/privacy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site. This tracks page views, how long you stay, bounce rates, etc. Google stores this data and uses it according to their own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on if you want.
Our App Reviews & Content
All the app reviews on this site come from real user reviews published on the App Store, Google Play, and other official app stores. We compile them, summarize them, and add our own commentary to help you make informed decisions about which apps to download.
We’re not creating fake reviews—we’re just pulling from what actual users are saying. If any app developer or original reviewer asks us to remove their content, we’ll do that right away. We respect the original source of this content.
How We Use Your Data
Honestly, we mainly use your data to:
- Keep the site running and secure
- Understand what content people are interested in so we can write more reviews people actually want to read
- Show you ads (through Google and our own banner ads)
- Track which of our ad campaigns are working
We don’t sell your data to anyone. We’re not a data broker. We just use it to run the site better.
Who We Share Your Data With
Your data goes to:
- Google (Analytics, AdSense)
- Microsoft (Bing Ads, UET tracking)
- Our hosting provider (to keep the site running)
- Our email provider (if you contact us)
That’s it. We don’t pass your info around to random third parties.
Your Rights
If you’re in the EU or UK, you have some rights under GDPR:
- You can ask us what data we have about you
- You can ask us to delete your data (though some of it might be stored by Google or Microsoft)
- You can ask us to correct any incorrect data
- You can withdraw consent for optional tracking
If you’re in California, CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, delete it, and opt out of “sales” (though we don’t really sell data—ad targeting isn’t exactly selling, but the law is weird about this).
To exercise any of these rights, just email us at: privacy@findappwise.com
We’ll get back to you within 30 days.
Cookies & Tracking
Necessary Cookies — These make the site function. Things like security tokens and basic site preferences. We need these to operate.
Analytics Cookies — Google Analytics uses these to track your behavior. Not strictly necessary, but helpful for us to improve.
Advertising Cookies — Google and Microsoft use these for ad personalization and retargeting.
If you’re visiting from the EU or UK, we’ll ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change your mind anytime by adjusting your cookie settings in your browser.
Data Security
We keep your data secure with standard HTTPS encryption. We don’t do anything fancy, but we’re also not careless about it. If there’s ever a data breach (we really hope there won’t be), we’ll notify you as required by law.
That said, no system is 100% secure. If you’re paranoid about it, use a VPN. But honestly, the bigger risk to your privacy is usually social media and your ISP, not a small review site.
Third-Party Links
Our site links to app reviews on the App Store, Google Play, and other places. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We’re not responsible for what they do with your data. Read their policies if you care about that stuff.
Changes to This Policy
We’ll update this if our practices change or the law requires it. We’ll post the new version here and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. If the changes are major, we might send you an email (if we have one), but probably not.
Contact Us
If you have questions or want to exercise your rights, email us at:
privacy@findappwise.com
Or use the contact form on our site. We’ll try to respond within a reasonable time—we’re a small operation, so give us a few days.
That’s it. Thanks for reading.
